Hirshleifers 100th Anniversary Party
On Thursday, November 4, the luxury fashion community and the North Shore’s fashion elite joined together to celebrate Hirshleifers’ 100th anniversary at a glittering party featuring unique vignettes that illustrated Hirshleifers’ rich history.
The décor featured a giant photo-wall depicting historic photos of Hirshleifers’ five generations of retailers, and Hirshleifers’ fashion advertisements from the past 50 years. A special gallery of vintage clothing spanning a century of style was prominently displayed, featuring the designs of Norman Norell, Rudi Gernreich, Donald Brooks, Ben Zuckerman, and others who’ve left their mark on fashion.
Hirshleifers transformed its 3200 square foot Chanel boutique into Senequier, a scenic café at the Place des Lyces in the center of St. Tropez, the site of Chanel’s Cruise 2011 show. Guests enjoyed delicious Croque Monsieurs and Brie en Croute while sitting amongst models as they show off styles from Chanel’s Cruise 2011 collection.
The guests enjoyed music by DJ Kiss, a full bar and wine bar featuring Long Island’s own Sparkling Pointe Vineyard, hors d’oeuvers and catering from Toku Modern Asian, Cipollini and Bar Frites, and to cap off the evening, there was an extraordinary statement cake created by Kate Sullivan of Cake Power.
It was a party 100 years in the making – and well worth the wait!
