2010 First Annual World Pink Luncheon

On May 3, Evelyn Lauder and the Estée Lauder boutique at Americana Manhasset hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness luncheon, attended by over 165 guests. The event raised more than $27,000 to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The private lunch honored the memory of Roddy Eliash and Haya Kadosh-Gabbay – two special women in the community who passed away due to cancer.

The menu for the luncheon was inspired by Mrs. Lauder’s cookbook "In Great Taste: Fresh, Simple Recipes for Eating and Living Well”, which was also sold at the event. During the afternoon, attendees were invited to bid on high-end auction items, partake in complimentary beauty services provided by Estée Lauder’s top Beauty Advisors and shop Estée Lauder’s latest products, with 20% of all net sales donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The event proved to be not only a successful fundraiser, but also a wonderful opportunity to educate people about an important issue that affects many Long Island families. Americana Manhasset applauds Estée Lauder for its efforts in the fight against breast cancer!
