Alice + Olivia Spring 2020 - Runway Review
September 9, 2019

Alice + Olivia's Stacey Bendet sent her guests down a journey into a fashion dreamscape that unfolded in a series of nine transportive sets at Root Studios -- each revealing a realm of the collection. Among the idyllic vignettes: a field of lilac saturated flowers; a sky blooming with pink clouds; a minty pristine kitchen and a bright buttercup pool. Tailored and embroidered, not to mention bursting with signature color and charm, the collection also featured a new collaboration with menswear designer Everard Best (EV Bravado), who brought his style of hand embroidered, dyed and distressed denim to womenswear. During the presentation, he was stationed in a laboratory vignette, a cascade of color around him as he artfully live-painted pieces for the collection, creating wearable works of art that the social media savvy audience instantly lapped up.
