Brooks Brothers Spring 2017 - Runway Review
September 14, 2016
Undeniably preppy, Zac Posen’s stride designing for Brooks Brothers really hit its mark for spring. On board with the classic American brand for just under three years now, his women’s collection has gotten considerably more feminine and shapely while remaining timeless and modern.
Summer destinations, from Newport, R.I. to the sun-drenched Côte d’Azur informed Posen’s inspirations. As seen on muses like socialite Gloria Guinness, the pieces were beautiful paired together and equally appealing broken apart. Standout looks included a garden-print series of blouses and skirts, a crisp white eyelet shirtdress, batik-print dress belted at the waist and a plethora of nautical-themed pieces.
The transition to workwear was also flawless: work wardrobe options included a fine selection of feminine and fashionable suits, knit twinsets and dresses in shades of navy, gray, white and pale blue.
