Brunello Cucinelli Fall 2020 - Runway Review
February 19, 2020

Clean-cut silhouettes, oversize and loose-fit volumes, menswear classics reinterpreted with feminine and sensual takes. The Brunello Cucinelli Fall 2020 collection took its approach from a handcrafted sensuality that harkened back to its organic roots in the rawest form. More so than ever, these Cucinelli pieces were designed for discriminating tastes -- the idea of wear-forever elegance that "avoids waste and lives in harmony with the Creation which is expressed through the appeal of a soft and contemporary minimalism." Strong silhouettes had immediate appeal: a bronze-laminated skirt; tailored jackets with wide lapels and strong shoulders and, of course, gorgeous outerwear done in cashmere and mohair. A bomber boasting tiered strips of organza designed to recall layers of bark on a tree was exceptional.
