Burberry Men’s Fall 2016 - Runway Review
January 12, 2016
For his first men’s collection since announcing a massive streamlining effort — Burberry recently combined its three labels under one banner — Christopher Bailey delivered a stellar lineup of pieces that made for a sure-footed path toward fall. All the major themes were present, including military, oversized plaids, sumptuous shearling and outsize shapes. Inside a darkened tent in Kensington Gardens, standouts included beautiful military coats with oversized gold buttons and red piping; voluminous outerwear (particularly sharp in herringbone) and layered zip-front tracksuit jackets. Rounding out the collection were a handful of vintage pieces that were culled from around the world and restored by Burberry in its Yorkshire factories.
