Fendi Fall 2020 - Runway Review
February 21, 2020

It's a new day at Fendi -- one embraced with curves and inclusive sizing. One year since the passing of Karl Lagerfeld, Silvia Fendi has hit her stride in assuming the reigns of the Roman house -- and she'll have that pasta, thank you very much. Make no mistake about it -- fall's feminine silhouette features a plethora of strong shapes. While cinching and corseting, paired with A-line skirts and fur collars, may harken back to a 1950s housewife, this was a collection that projected power. A soft yellow double-breasted coat with a corseted waist was lovely, refreshing even. Conversely, a dominatrix leather coat with squared shoulders and sophisticated wool crepe dresses with built-in criss-cross scarves projected a super-heroine aesthetic -- grounded by thin belts and satin booties.
