Fendi Spring 2018 - Runway Review
September 21, 2017

Shoulders were a focal point at Fendi for spring, their ageless curvature emphasized by cut-outs and the addition of stripes and checks, flowers and multiple layers of delicate transparency. Coupled with the art of triangulation as set forth by Karl Lagerfeld, the results were to replicate motion while standing still, the dynamic speed in which we live in today.
It may have been a spring show, but at Fendi, fur and leather reign supreme. Expressed subtly, as in a green leather coat with heat-applied flowers, or via fur inlaid as stripes and checks, it was a masterful compilation of all things that make Fendi a leader in technical expertise. But it was the iconic logo that painted the loudest picture: splattered across everything from a fur bomber jacket and coat to the multitude of logo totes, it's yet another example of how the Eighties are back in maximal effect!
