Loro Piana Fall 2020 - Runway Review
February 24, 2020

Taking its cues from Big Apple icons, Loro Piana looked to New York's urban landscape for a decidedly structured and monochromatic collection. The warm tones of Central Park informed a cashmere coat in soft green; a ribbed cashmere dress with side slits and a brown cashmere trench with raglan sleeves. Streamlined and sophisticated in both cut and color palette, most of the looks featured monochromatic head-to-toe color schemes (the cashmere-lined rain boots were a sweet touch). Chief among the innovations was the infusion of vicuna into jersey and a new "eco-fur" in the form of fleece jackets.
