Michael Kors Fall 2016 - Runway Review
February 18, 2016
Inspired by “the flirty freedom of things that move,” it was a feather fest at Michael Kors, whose fall show featured no less than 10 looks bursting with plumes. Most fabulous was a pair of jeans adorned with feathers, but the “accessory” featured on a houndstooth tweed coat, on a denim skirt and on black silk for evening made their share of impact. This being his 35th fall collection, Kors took a restrained approach to having fun, all the while injecting plenty of color in the form of baby blues and apple greens. And what didn’t feature some sort of feather trim boasted sequins, adding a slick sheen to cut-out and tie-up dresses. A “streamer” dress with its hem cut into strips screamed for a New Year’s Eve bash, while a pair of silver metallic stretch tulle pants redefine the notion of workwear.
