Michael Kors Fall 2019 - Runway Review
February 13, 2019

Never one to pass up a fabulous party, Michael Kors turned his fall collection show into a full-on '70s rager. Kors, after all, lived the life he presented on the runway... late nights into early mornings at Studio 54 -- dressed to the nines at all times. He may not be the only designer following the good times, but he certainly is living the best life among his peers. Did we mention Barry Manilow closed the show, crooning "Copacabana?"
Having secured the rights to the Studio 54 logo, Kors liberally splashed it throughout the collection: embroidered on a sequin t-shirt dress, as the lining and all over a full-length puffer and androgynous silk blouses for both guys and gals. Oodles of boas and faux fur also permeated the show -- colorful and splashy down to the intarsia chevron coat. Kors knows excess, but he also pared the collection down with elegant cashmere knits and sequined matte jersey (both a nod to Lincoln Center's ballerinas).
