Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2019 - Runway Review
February 23, 2019

Coming on the heels of being promoted to creative director, Paul Andrew, who joined Ferragamo in 2016, drew inspiration from the Florentine house's illustrious heritage with footwear boasting sculpted heels, oodles of leather ready-to-wear and plenty of color to boot.
The combined womenswear and menswear collections went beyond outerwear and footwear, however, to include beautiful pieces ideal for day and night. That's not to say a sculpted heel inspired by a 1968 design by Fiamma Ferragamo wasn't of particular note. Among the highlights were long leather skirts, a black leather evening gown and a leather jumpsuit.
Andrew's love for leather, displayed lovingly on models in a diverse range of ages, was particularly keen in a Nappa leather puffer coat that had a sheen reminiscent of technical fabric all the while light as a feather.
