Sportmax Fall 2020 - Runway Review

Channeling a futuristic theme for fall, the Sportmax brand moves forward in a clean, crisp manner following a 50th anniversary celebration. The quintessential Milanese brand, a more activewear-centric offshoot of Max Mara, stepped boldly forward under fashion director Grazia Malagoli. Effortless and unfussy, the clothes featured plenty of fabric manipulation that resulted in some interesting three-dimensional shapes when worn. From darting to draping, the dresses and half-capes had intrinsic appeal; these were clothes guaranteed to embolden any wardrobe. Sharp-cut separates included a blue faux leather suit with pleated detailing and a belted coat with bold sleeves.
