Sportmax Spring 2018 - Runway Review
September 22, 2017

It's hard to believe Sportmax is celebrating 50 years... how time truly flies. What was originally created to celebrate youth and athleticism in sportswear has seen an entire microcosm blossom to where it is now its own global vernacular of clothing. Sportmax remains, however, true to its roots, showcasing comfortable, easy-to-wear garments that aren't at all conspicuous -- for all the right reasons.
This collection was more rooted in workwear, and among its sportiest feats were sublime long silky dresses and skirts -- both plain and floral -- whose necklines and silhouettes were traced by striped elasticated ribbing. Trenches, leather shorts, jumpsuits and handkerchief-hemmed dresses in soothing shades of teal, grass green and sand featured decorative topstitching that highlighted unique design details like double-layered pocket flaps.
