Veronica Beard Spring 2020 - Runway Review

Simply entitled "The Dolls," Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard conjured the late '60s for their Spring 2020 Veronica Beard collection. Reimagining glamour and femininity and adding an undercurrent of edge, it was the quintessential good girl gone bad trope the morning after. In this newfound liberalism, the garments, worn with polished Lucite and PVC belts and shoes, resonated with depth in print (vintage wallpapers), soft pastel colors and sharp suiting. Sculpted peplums juxtaposed paper-bag waists for plenty of textural intrigue. Spring saw the introduction of iridescent details in a palette of sunrise-to-sunset hues.
