A new addition to the Hirshleifers Shoe Salon, Miu Miu is now available at Americana Manhasset. The capsule collection of Resort 2018 shoes reflects the laid-back opulence that has become a signature of this line, so named after Miuccia Prada's nickname. Goose feathers and ostrich feathers are among the materials that are featured on the slides, complemented by embellished crystals. Additionally, oversized organza flowers are featured on other shoe designs, grounded by black velvet centers and boasting glossy kitten heels.
New York born, London-based fine jewelry designer Diane Kordas references her summers spent in Greece in designing her collections of necklaces, earrings and rings. Launched in 2000, Kordas was one of the first designers to champion the delicate, diamond-pavé jewels which have become a mainstay of contemporary jewelry, including her signature amulet pendant necklaces that balance modern fine jewels with a rock n’ roll edge.
Shown in Paris, the Proenza Schouler Spring 2018 collection tilted toward cocktail hour and later, but their pairing of French craft with American design featured strong-shoulders, nipped-waists, elongated jackets and floral jacquards. The craftsmanship came into play in the form of floral prints that informed the dresses.
